Last night I saw The Dopamines. They fucking ruled and that's to be expected because Expect The Worst is definitely one of the best albums of the year.
BUUUUUUUUUTTTT, this band Sabertooth opened the show. They absolutely fucking ripped. Got up and played some poppy-throwback hardcore in the tightest and most awesome way possible. Usually openers that you don't know for shows turn out to be a let down, but it's a really pleasant surprise when they turn out to be something original and dudes who want to play music (as opposed to guys who "want to be in a band", if you get what I'm saying). They seemed like really awesome, nice and down to earth guys too. The guitar player must have thanked me at least five separate times for buying one $10 t-shirt and said bye at the end of the show.
Fucking check them out and support them, because hard-working, honest bands are in short supply.
Oh, and Crime In Stereo broke up. Pretty bummed about that. Going to blast The Troubled Stateside and ...Is Dead all week.
Last sidenote: I fucking hate changing guitar strings! So! Fucking! Much!
